My interest in how suppliers are packing Pellie plants stems from the pathetic way that a plant from Sarah Raven was packed. The Raven plant was in a purpose made box that had a formed area in the bottom to accommodate the base of the pot and a special cut out piece of cardboard intended to keep the pot in place. The design of the plant box didn't account for the typical handling by delivery couriers - particularly Evri. The big arrows asserting this way up will always be totally ignored and the plant ends up rattling around getting bashed and bruised all along its journey. So I made my mind up never again will I buy from Sarah Raven. I placed several orders with Ebay suppliers of Pellies and was keen to see if they could make a better fist of it than Sarah Raven ... of course they could. With oodles of newspaper and sticky tape with some damp tissues for good measure three small suppliers made sure their plants arrived in excellent condition. They dodged Evri which probably helpe...
